Key Responsibilities

• Lineman and knowledge of Medium voltage is preferred
• Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring
• Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
• Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards
• Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning
• Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
• Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
• Calibrate equipment to provided specifications
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components
• Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematic, one-line, logic and interconnection diagrams and drawings.
• Understands, follows and enforces all established safety and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
• May perform hot work if qualified and trained with all necessary precautions in place.
• Thorough knowledge in the safe operation and safe maintenance work practices of electrical systems and equipment with Medium voltages.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical theory with experience in both AC and DC systems and control circuitry.
• Proficiency in the safe use of electrical test meters, instruments, computers, and Apple tablets
• Knowledge and experience in medium voltage (4KV) and low voltage (480/277V--120/240V) AC motors and control; Significant LED and MH Lighting experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge and experience in medium and low voltage power distribution systems and equipment including transformers, circuit breakers and protective relaying and fusing. 
• Must be able to perform preventive maintenance and repairs procedures on all types of electrical and lighting outdoors.
• Ability to work from ladders, bucket trucks and JLG lifts at heights 60' and below.
• Willing to work early shifts and weekends. 
• Outdoor maintenance duties are required and are subject to prevailing inclement weather conditions.
• Must provide their own tools of the trade.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED.
• Preferred candidates will have a Certificate of Completion of an Apprenticeship program or equivalent formal training.
• Minimum of 5 years electrical maintenance experience. 
• Preferred candidates will have experience constructing and repairing overhead power lines and pole lighting both LED and Metal Halide. 
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Must be able to pass a Background check.
• Basic ability to speak, read, write English

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position operates at professional construction sites, requiring the ability to communicate with verbally others on site, in person and over the telephone, ability to read printed materials, signs and directions, stamina to maintain attention despite interruptions, ability to lift, push, pull, carry, handle or feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery and/or controls weighing up to 50 pounds and reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and/or ladders; balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift overhead, traverse around or otherwise position one's self around the required work and safety requirements to navigating and perform activities on various construction sites in a safe manner.

Will be required to work on project sites and operate vehicles, trailers, machinery, equipment and other tools within local, state and federal safety guidelines.

This position operates in a professional field environment. The position requires working outside, frequently for long periods of time in all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.

While working, the employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air-borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.
