Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Grain Technician to support day-to-day facility operations under the direction of the Location Manager. This role ensures efficient operations, safety compliance, and organized grain movement while maintaining facility standards.
Grain Technician Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and organize grain operations, including scheduling and communication.
* Perform facility maintenance, repairs, and general housekeeping.
* Maintain accurate records for housekeeping and equipment maintenance using internal programs.
* Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual inventory counts.
* Manage rail operations (if applicable), including assisting at other locations as needed.
* Support seasonal demands, including extended hours, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts when required.
* Collaborate with other departments and locations as necessary.
* Obtain CDL with endorsements (employer may assist).
Grain Technician Qualifications:
* High School diploma or equivalent required.
* 2+ years of relevant experience preferred but not required.
* Ability to operate equipment such as skid steers, wheel loaders, and rail car movers.
* Capable of lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.
* Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities.
* Organized and detail-oriented with basic computer skills.
* Demonstrates emotional intelligence, professionalism, and self-direction.
* Ability to listen effectively, take constructive feedback, and build trust with colleagues.
