This contract position is an on-site role that offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

As a Locum Hematology Oncology physician, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients with blood disorders and cancers. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and enhance our commitment to providing high-quality medical care. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and examinations of patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
  • Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Participate in case reviews and contribute to clinical discussions
  • Stay informed about advancements in hematology and oncology

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Active medical license in the state of practice
  • Board certification or eligibility in Hematology Oncology
  • Strong clinical skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment
  • Experience in a similar role or clinical setting is preferred
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning

Schedule: 8a-5p, 2-3 days per week or 5 days per week

Outpatient infusion center with 15 private bays

17-bed inpatient oncology unit

Daily Volume: 13-18 patients

Support Staff: RNs, nurse navigators, social workers, pharmacy liaison, research coordinators, genetic counselors, and anesthesia

EMR: Cerner

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
