We are looking for someone to join our busy Dermatology office ASAP! Open to Full OR Part-Time

Job Responsibilities:

• Registers new patients with complete and accurate demographics according to procedure
• Verifies patient's insurance eligibility and benefits at each visit
• Updates patients' charts so that the information is entered correctly
• Scans documents into the electronic medical record as directed.
• Completes work daily to compile missing demographic and insurance information for billing purposes
• Answer phones taking patient demographic information
• Swing in the back office as needed

Requirements for Position:

• Must be compliant with HIPAA standards
• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
• Must be a team player
• Must demonstrate good judgment and reasoning skills
• Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Rooming patients
• Assisting physician with procedures
• Administering injections
• CMA or RMA  certification  is a plus
• Good attendance and reliability is required
• Candidates are expected to arrive at the interview wearing professional business attire
• Candidates are expected to bring a copy of their resume, references, etc., to the interview
• Electronic Medical Records experience is a plus!

Required Education:

High school or equivalent

Required Language:

English

Required License or Certification:

Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA)

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Knowledge:

• Must have high school diploma
• Excellent skills in communication, listening, customer service and organization
• Experience in medical software
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently
• Be dependable and work well as a team

Compensation commensurate with experience.
