We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise Oracle database environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring database availability, security, performance, and integrity while supporting mission-critical business systems.
This position is strictly limited to candidates who currently reside in the United States and are legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applications from individuals residing outside the United States will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle database systems (including RAC, ASM, and Data Guard where applicable)
Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning solutions
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery strategies are properly implemented and tested
Manage database security, including user access, roles, auditing, and compliance with organizational policies
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrades, and capacity planning
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely and effective manner
Collaborate with application developers, system administrators, and IT leadership to support business initiatives
Maintain accurate documentation for database configurations, procedures, and standards
Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and data governance requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
Strong expertise in Oracle Database architecture, administration, and performance tuning
Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle utilities (RMAN, OEM, Data Pump)
Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Compensation:
Annual Salary Range: $115,000 – $145,000 USD, commensurate with experience, skills, and location
