If you’re a newly licensed CDL-A driver in the Kansas City metro area and want more than a short-term trainee seat, this paid CDL-A training program is designed to help you build a long-term trucking career . You’ll earn pay from day one, train with experienced professionals, and move into a solo OTR position with steady miles and dependable weekly income.
This program is built for drivers who want structure, consistency, and growth—not constant turnover.
Training Pay: $650 per week for 4–6 weeks
Solo Pay After Upgrade: $1,000–$1,400+ per week
Mileage Pay: $0.43–$0.51 CPM after training (experience based)
Stop Pay: $15 per stop once solo
Pay Schedule: Weekly direct deposit
Most trainees upgrade to solo quickly once all training benchmarks are completed.

OTR Schedule: 12–14 days out with a 34-hour home reset
Operating Area: 48-state OTR after training
Home Base: Kansas City, MO metro region
This is a true over-the-road role built to establish experience and reliable miles.

Upon completion of the trainee phase, drivers are upgraded to solo OTR status with assigned equipment, consistent dispatch, and steady weekly miles. Most drivers experience predictable pay shortly after upgrading.
